Jason

Online Maths and Physics Tutor

I am a laid-back sci-fi geek with a love of rabbits (we have four) and reading.

I am currently the managing director of ScientificaNow Ltd, a company specialising in science education - we are working on revision apps for A-level physics and GCSE science.

Tutoring Experience

Tutoring:
- A-level maths and physics for 10 years, including 100% online tutoring.

Teaching:
- GCSE maths and physics, A-level maths and physics, and further maths at comprehensive schools, and a private international school, for 7 years.
- first year degree level maths, and first and second year physics (including maths for physics) for 10 years at the University of York.

Exam marking:
- GCSE Physics (OCR) for 4 years

Tutoring Approach

I foster a relaxed environment where tutees can feel comfortable while pushing them to achieve their full potential. I look to improve confidence, exam technique and approaches to exam questions as well as subject knowledge since they all contribute highly to the final result.

Due to the Covid pandemic all tutoring will be online.
