I am currently a third year university student studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University of Nottingham. I have achieved high grades in both my GCSEs and A levels and I am currently on track for a high 2:1.
I have taught many of my peers at a GCSE maths level who were struggling with maths, helping them achieve a pass grade. 1 year ago, I tutored 3 of my family friends at GCSE level maths where they also achieved passes (4 and 5) after struggling heavily with maths.
Through my tutoring journey, I've developed a personalised approach to GCSE maths that focuses on understanding each student's unique struggles. I believe in breaking down complex concepts into simpler, more digestible parts, ensuring that no student feels overwhelmed. By identifying areas of difficulty, I tailor my explanations to match their learning style, whether visual, auditory, or hands-on. Repetition plays a crucial role in reinforcing understanding, and I provide ample practice opportunities to solidify their comprehension. My goal is not just to help students pass their exams but to foster a lasting appreciation and confidence in mathematics.
