I love working as a tutor and helping students to learn and to achieve their full potential. I am passionate about learning languages. With over 35 years of teaching experience I love working with young people to help them to improve their performance in GCSE French and German.

Tutoring Experience

I taught French and German to GCSE and A Level in 4 different schools over 32 years. I helped all my students to achieve their best by helping to approach their language learning with more confidence. I have taught a range of exam boards including Edxecel, AQA, Eduqas, iGCSE and am very clear about what students need to do to achieve the grades they want to. I add value to all the students I tutor and I have a track record of helping students to get excellent results.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is firm and fair. I quickly assess a student's strengths and weaknesses, establish their learning style and where they are in terms of skills and knowledge so that I can tailor the tuition sessions to meet their needs. I plan and prepare differently for each student so that the sessions are focussed on what they want to work on to improve their performance. Student feedback includes 'I wish you taught me all the time' , 'I now feel more confident with speaking' , 'It was useful to focus on the Higher Level stuff that we don't really cover in depth in class' , 'NOW I understand.'
