I am a Double Bass player based in Birmingham, UK, that speciallises in jazz and improvised music. I am a recent graduate of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and have been involved in the UK jazz scene for a number of years, most notably with the Clark Tracey Quintet since Jan 2018, and a finalist on the BBC young Jazz Musician of the year in November 2018.

Tutoring Experience

Currently an active musician on the UK jazz scene with experience playing abroad (in Italy, Spain, Norway and Thailand).
Currently teach private lessons from beginner to conservatoire entry level.
Support tutor for Jazzlines summer school in 2019.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching style is highly focused on teaching good technique and sound production. I believe in learning music by ear and improvising to develop your aural skills and musical ability.
