As Head of English at a leading independent school with over 10 years' experience, I specialise in helping students achieve top grades, as well as inspiring academic excellence and a love for the subject. I'm currently at full capacity but I'm looking for students to start from the summer or September 2025.

Tutoring Experience

I am an experienced English teacher with over a decade of success in the UK and internationally. I teach students from Years 7 to 13 and specialise in guiding them to exceptional results.

My expertise includes A-Level, GCSE, International Baccalaureate, 11+, Common Entrance and EFL. I am also a regular examiner for OCR A-Level Literature and various GCSE boards.

I have developed a strong track record of helping students develop confidence and achieve significant progress in both Language and Literature.

I also have a lot of experience with preparing students for pre-test examinations and guiding interview practice for top independent schools.

Tutoring Approach

Building a strong, supportive working relationship is at the heart of my approach - one where students feel confident to ask questions and truly engage with the learning process.

I’m passionate about creating a calm and inspiring environment where students can thrive. My teaching is results-driven and feedback-focused, but I also believe learning should be engaging and enjoyable. When students develop a genuine love for the subject, even the most challenging concepts become far more accessible.

I take pride in offering bespoke, one-to-one guidance that builds confidence and creates lasting progress. Watching students overcome challenges and achieve their goals is what motivates me most, and I’m committed to supporting each one every step of the way.
