I am a dedicated, resourceful and effective educator of Secondary School level English. I am a versatile, compassionate and well-rounded individual, with this I aim to inspire and enthuse the learning of English within the pupils that I encounter and teach.

Tutoring Experience

I have been a second in charge and key stage 3 coordinator in English.
I have experience of both AQA and Excel exams boards.
Currently I am teaching the Ark Mastery curriculum in an Ark school.
I have been teaching for 10 years + with a high success rate for progress.

Tutoring Approach

I ensure students are regularly assessed through quizzes and practice paragraphs.
I provide students with clear checklists, success criteria, mark sheets and clear model structures.
My main aim is to support students to become resourceful note takers. The learning students produce with me will also double up as a revision resource. I not only aim for students to make progress in their learning but also successful in becoming independent learners.
I have a confident understanding of exam mark schemes and can break them down into student friendly and accessible mark schemes.
Students will be regularly tested and the progress will be recorded over time.
Students will be clear about their strengths and areas of development.
I communicate strategies for parents to support their child outside of the lesson.
