Hi! I'm a Classics graduate from the University of St Andrews, and I have recently completed a Master's in Classics from the University of Oxford. I love learning languages and sharing that knowledge with others.

Tutoring Experience

I have approximately 3000 hours of online tutoring experience on various sites, and I have received very positive feedback. As a Classics graduate and someone who learned Latin and Classical Greek in secondary school I have plenty of experience with various levels of learning; my tutees have varied all the way from KS2 to university level (including 13+ scholarships and the Oxford CAT). I also have experience teaching various KS2, KS3 and GCSE English topics, and advising on personal statements.

It is worth noting that while I give online lessons on several sites, my rates are lowest here on FirstTutors!

Tutoring Approach

I am very much guided by my tutee's individual needs. I think it is important to focus on what the tutee is struggling with, and work from there. I value engaging sessions, so I won't give my tutee a paper to do while I sit and wait - instead we might go through a paper together, bit by bit. That said, if the tutee wishes to be guided through a syllabus, I have experience tutoring in this way too.
