I am an enthusiastic, passionate and dedicated teacher who has had 15 years of invaluable experience within the performing arts and educational sector. I have a proven record of helping students progress and achieve their goals and I promote confidence, individuality and creativity, and ensure every student I work with has the necessary skills to fulfil their potential.

Tutoring Experience

I have worked in Independent Primary and Secondary Schools as well as state Primary and Secondary Schools. Within my lessons I aim to inspire creativity and passion in students, developing their ideas and promoting self-belief. I feel it is important to equip and enrich students to ensure that they emerge with confidence, self-motivation, mutual respect and a strong sense of individuality. I am experienced in teaching the primary curriculum KS1 and KS2 as well as KS3 and GCSE and A Level English, Maths and Drama. I have also prepared many students for 9+ and 11+ exams.
Previously I have also worked as a Head of Department and have directed and choreographed for performing arts, film and theatre companies with hundreds of performers and coached students for Dance and Drama school scholarships. I also prepare students for all of the LAMDA and public speaking syllabus exams, achieving Distinctions. I have also taught in Dubai and Italy, implementing curriculums and providing training to staff on how incorporate drama and creativity into their lessons.

Tutoring Approach

I use humour and imagination to encourage enthusiasm and a positive learning culture, differentiating my approach to meet the needs of each individual. It’s important to engage with students and incorporate their interests when teaching. As well as encouraging independent learning and critical thinking, I have a strong concern and interest in the emotional and mental wellbeing of students and create a supportive learning environment. I promote a growth mindset and provide students and parents with ongoing feedback.
