Hi, I’m a fully qualified Primary School teacher with several years of classroom and tutoring experience. I’ve taught across all primary age groups and worked with children from a wide range of backgrounds and learning needs. I’m passionate about helping every child reach their potential—and I know from experience that the right support and encouragement can make all the difference. I became a teacher because I love seeing children grow as people, as well as students. Tutoring gives me the chance to focus on each child as an individual, building strong foundations and helping them feel proud of their progress. Whether your child needs help catching up, stretching further, or simply a boost of motivation, I’d love to support them on their journey.
As a fully-qualified Primary School teacher, I have been teaching in inner-city London for 4 years (including my PGCE year), before moving to Hastings this summer. In that time I worked across Early Years, KS1 and KS2. I also became Subject Lead for History at my school. Working in inner city London exposed me to a range of needs and children from a range of backgrounds, including SEN, pupil premium and behavioural needs. Prior to working as a teacher, I tutored primary-aged children in English and Maths, and have tutored secondary-level children as well in a range of subjects.
My tutoring sessions are tailored to each individual child, building confidence as well as academic skills. I focus on creating a calm, encouraging environment where children feel safe to make mistakes and enjoy their learning. I use a range of practical strategies to break down tricky concepts—especially in English and Maths—using games, visuals, and structured practice to keep lessons engaging and effective. A typical lesson lasts around 60 minutes, though this can be adjusted to suit the child’s needs and attention span. I’m a fully qualified Primary School teacher with four years’ experience across Early Years, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2, including subject leadership and SEN support. My lessons are ideal for primary-aged children (ages 5–11) looking to boost confidence, fill gaps, or prepare for transitions and assessments. I also have experience tutoring secondary students in a range of subjects.
