Home Tuition for Physics and Chemistry in Merton

Beyond my academic pursuits, I am an avid nature enthusiast. I find solace in hiking, traveling to new cities, escaping to the countryside and exercising. Maintaining an active lifestyle is important to me, and I am fascinated by the science behind health and fitness. On a lighter note, I also enjoy indulging in horror, sci-fi, and murder mystery films as a way to unwind and explore the thrilling aspects of storytelling. These diverse interests enrich my teaching style and provide unique perspectives to engage students in the classroom.

Tutoring Experience

With a passion for both biology and education, I bring four years of invaluable teaching experience to the table. My journey as a teacher began in an inner-city school, where I had the privilege of instructing students from KS3, KS4, and KS5 in the fascinating world of biology. My educational background includes a master's degree in conservation and biodiversity from UCL, where I conducted research on declining amphibian populations using NHM museum specimens, as well as sustainable fish trawling in Greenland for the Zoological Society of London (ZSL). Additionally, I hold a BSc in biological sciences from the University of Birmingham. My academic journey has given me a solid foundation to share my love for biology with eager learners.

Tutoring Approach

In my teaching approach, I prioritise open, interactive, and modern methods that align with real-life experiences. I believe that this approach not only makes learning enjoyable but also prepares students for the ever-evolving world of science. Join me in exploring the wonders of biology while enjoying a balanced and engaging educational experience.
