Bespoke 11+ and English tutoring.
I hold a first-class degree in English (Language and Literature) and have been tutoring all ages and abilities in English since 2016.

I provide English tutoring from KS2 to the undergraduate level, supporting reading fluency and speed, literary analysis, comprehension skills, essay writing, revision strategies and exam preparation. I have solid experience tutoring students in English, Maths, and verbal and non-verbal reasoning for the 11+ exams, tailoring my approach to each individual’s needs, whether aiming to pass or for full marks.

I have also taught English as a second language to students in the UK and abroad. All my students have scored above 7 in IELTS.

In addition to tutoring, I work within one of the top 10 universities in the world (QS World University Rankings) in the Humanities and Historical Sciences. This role allows me to bring insights and educational trends from academia to my lessons, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, personalised instruction to every student.

Tutoring Experience

I currently teach classes of five and 15 studying for their 11+ exams. I also tutor several students 1:1. I have recently successfully tutored a student through their private school exams.

3) Reading support enhances students' fluency, speed, and vocabulary. I use diverse texts and teach reading strategies to ensure a comprehensive approach to reading development.
4) Literary analysis: encouraging critical thinking and comprehension skills.
5) Essay writing: guiding students through the writing process, practising for coursework and exams and giving structured feedback.
6) Exam preparation: offering practice tests and strategies for effective test-taking.
