Hello everyone! I am Izzy, and I have just gained a first class degree in Politics and International Relations from the University of Birmingham! I am now working in politics within the private sector. I love tutoring, so I am super excited to help everyone achieve their potential and become confident in all their subjects!

Tutoring Experience

I've been a tutor for almost two years, so have plenty of experience seeing students through their exams. I have sat all the subjects that I teach, therefore I can relate to the difficulties students may face when it comes to these exams. My aim is to build the skills and confidence needed to excel in these exam subjects, through lessons tailored to suit students' unique needs.

Tutoring Approach

My lessons typically follow a routine structure so that students know what to expect from the lessons. First, subject content will delivered in a format suitable to the student's leaning needs. Next, students will be given a range of short tasks to build their skills in specific areas. Finally, students will be given longer, more complex tasks relating to exam practice. I find that this structure allows students to slowly build their skills and confidence in a sustainable and gradual way. Each lesson I identify both a lesson aim and a lesson focus to allow students to understand what will be expected of them. Finally, I measure students' progress each lesson by recording and comparing their responses to exam questions each week, as well as through their responses to the shorter tasks I set them.
