Welcome to my tutoring space! I'm Ian, your calm-mannered and friendly tutor, on a mission to ignite the spark of learning in every student I meet.

As a student, I often felt overwhelmed in the classroom, struggling to keep up with the pace and feeling lost in the crowd. It wasn't until I experienced one-on-one tutoring that I truly began to flourish. That personalised attention and tailored approach didn't just help me understand the material; it transformed my confidence and outlook on learning.

Now, I'm dedicated to paying that transformative experience forward. My goal is simple: to empower every student I tutor.

Tutoring Experience

In 2020, I ventured into the world of online tutoring, and it's been an exhilarating journey ever since. Over the years, I've honed my craft, developing a unique style and method that's proving to be incredibly beneficial for my students.

I also worked on the Toe By Toe scheme, which was an enlightening experience,e helping those with reading difficulties and dyslexia.

My academic journey laid a solid foundation for my tutoring endeavors. As a First-Class Honours BA graduate, I've always been deeply passionate about learning and education. My academic achievements, including an A* in Film Studies, an A in English Literature, and a B in History at A-levels, reflect my commitment to excellence and my diverse interests.

Tutoring Approach

I provide a personalised approach to my teaching. No two students are the same and therefore no teaching approach for me is the same. I like to customise my lessons to highlight my students strengths, to then overcome their weaknesses.

As I myself work in film, I understand the importance of visual mediums, such as online interactive videos to drawings, moodboards and fun quizzes. I think learning is done best when it is enjoyed.
