I am an educator with over 30 years of experience in both the UK and a range of locations overseas. A History specialist, I have the ability to teach the full age range of secondary level up to and including GCSE/IGCSE, A Level, IB and AP (World History). I also have significant experience of teaching English as a Second Language (IGCSE) and can also offer IELTS/TOEFL tuition.

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching since 1987 with most of the last twenty years working overseas latterly in China where I have been Academic Principal. I have particular expertise in teaching international students, readying them for robust and successful university applications.

Tutoring Approach

I engage the students through a range of methods. My emphasis is always on discussion of key concepts and the acquisition of essential skills. As much as possible students should retain ownership of learning.
