Huw has been a great fit for our son’s GCSE needs, has quickly raised his confidence and ability in targeted areas and is always punctual, reliable and gets straight into the valuable exam-focused sessions. Highly recommended by us and our son.

Huw tutors my daughter online for her A-level biology, covering topics and practicing exam questions which has improved her confidence and exam technique.

Huw is very knowledgeable about biology and comes to lessons prepared and punctual. My son feels reassured that he understands his curriculum well and both explains concepts well until he understands them but also has helped him with exam questions. How makes the topics and engaging that he leaves my Dyson looking forward to the next lesson.

Huw is helping my son with online A level tutoring. They are going through topics and then doing exam questions which is very helpful . He feels more confident about the upcoming exams as he is revising and learning exam technique .

Huw is tutoring my daughter in a level biology. Anna thinks he’s a fantastic tutor as he explains the concepts in a really logical, structured way that she understands and then they spend a lot of time doing exam practice questions to solidify the learning. Huw tutored our son in maths for about 18 months leading up to his GCSEs. Our son was very much between tiers and lacking in confidence in the beginning, but with Huw's support he achieved the grade he was hoping for! Huw was always happy to tailor the sessions to the topics our son needed to be working on and Huw's calm, friendly and patient manner really allowed our son to get the most out of the time. Huw was extremely flexible in how he worked and although most sessions were face to face, when needed we were able to switch to online learning, which was much appreciated.

Huw is a fantastic tutor. I've been learning online with him for several weeks now, and my knowledge base has increased significantly since beginning. He explains topics in a style I understand, and utilises board specifications and past paper questions in context with what I've learned/am learning. This helps with applying my knowledge as we go along. Highly recommend.

Was looking for someone to help boost my son's confidence who was between GCSE maths tiers. Huw has been extremely supportive, given clear explanations, tried lots methods to help recall and tailored sessions to whatever topic was required. Friendly, patient and flexible to our needs.

My son started GCSE maths tutoring with Huw just Dec 2022 after a disappointing mock grade. Huw has always been very kind, calm and reassuring. He and explains ideas and strategies clearly. Huw asked about his weakness and prioritised these as well as identifying areas himself. Each week they worked through exam papers. Huw increased my son's confidence no end. The end result is a grade 7. Thank you VERY much.

As a Ukrainian refugee struggling with the subject in Sixth Form college, he was able to make very good progress under your guidance. Our son has just started with Huw. Huw really knows his subject matter - we are covering both Chemistry and Biology A levels. It is really helping with my son's confidence and understanding of the complex topics. Huw clearly has a very strong knowledge and is good at conveying this and helping my son in his approach to exam questions, for example, and specific topics that need some focus. The interactive white board approach also helps with the sessions.

Huw is a knowledgable tutor who understands the current student cohort and the added pressures they have faced during the pandemic. My daughter has had 4 sessions with Huw over the holidays and is already gaining confidence with her studies. We are looking forward to this continuing!!

Huw is helping us with A level Biology. He explains the topics very clearly and concisely, and in an intelligible form. He knows the scope of the A level syllabus very well, and is friendly and approachable to study with. He understands what the examiners are looking for and is also happy to explain the subject in its wider context. We have been very pleased with Huw's help.

Huw tutored A level Biology to my son who wants to go on to study Medicine after a gap year. My son got an A* which I don't believe he would have achieved without tuition.
