I am a retired science teacher with 9 years experience in private tuition: I have thorough knowledge of the Chemistry A level syllabus provided by each of the main exam boards and that includes what is required to get top marks in exam questions. I have experience in teaching Chemistry and Biology at A level as well as Maths and Science at GCSE. As a private tutor I have now helped dozens of students to achieve their best grades in their final exams and many of my students have left positive testimonials on this and other similar sites. I am a qualified and experienced teacher committed to enabling others to achieve their full potential through motivational coaching and teaching. I have taught Science in secondary schools in the UK and I now specialise in providing private tuition and exam preparation for individuals and small groups. I have an engaging teaching style that comes from a patient, methodical approach with clear explanations and task setting. I believe that lessons should be enjoyable, relevant and student centred where it is the student's own efforts that creates the new learning. Above all lessons must be a positive experience that builds confidence. Students learn in different ways and methods and materials are always carefully selected with this in mind. I believe in traditional teaching methods with its emphasis on teaching the concepts that underpin a subject.
