I have been teaching AQA A-Level Psychology for the past three years, supporting sixth form students through three challenging years. I have most recently been teaching at Halliford School in Shepperton as Head of Department.

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching A-Level Psychology (AQA) for the last three years, consistently able to engage a wide variety of learning abilities within a complex but interesting A-Level. I have also taught Psychology to international students during an English summer school programme to support English language development and understanding so students are prepared to start A-Level's in an English boarding school in September.
Before stepping into teaching, I tutored 4-16 year olds on English and Maths through the tutoring company Explore Learning. The lessons were focused on developing confidence in a variety of different elements within the British Curriculum including phonics, reading, time tables and percentages/decimals/factions.

My particular strengths is engaging and working with a wide variety of SEND students to find approaches that work for them.

Tutoring Approach

I would define my tutoring and teaching approach as personal and supportive. I always aim to take into account as many different factors that could be impacting a students school work to help them find the best approaches and solutions so that they can reach their potential and improve their confidence in relation to school and academic work.
