I am currently in my fourth year of teaching and have a degree in Biology, a PGCE and will be starting a MSc in Learning and Teaching at the University of Oxford in September.
I absolutely love all aspects of science and sharing my knowledge.
I am a very patient teacher and pride myself on the relationships I build with students and believe learning science should be engaging and relatable.
I have taught all three sciences from KS3 to GCSE in a variety of schools. I have tutored year 10 and 11 students aiming for a full range of grades and really enjoy seeing students understand topics that were once seemed like a different language!
I am also a form tutor and run science club for year 7 and 8 students.
Each student is different and requires a different approach to tutoring. I plan tutoring topics in advance to ensure each session includes relevant information for their specific goals.
I break down topics into small sections and start from the basics and work up, ensuring that all aspects are covered. I use drawing and diagrams to illustrate thought processes and give visual representations to help ideas 'stick'.
I also provide exam question practice to ensure the maximum number of marks can be achieved.
