My name is Holly. I am a freelance language professional working from French and Spanish into English. I am motivated by languages' ability to bring people together.

I also offer online classes via Skype for long-distance students.

Tutoring Experience

I have over 4 years' experience tutoring English to non-native speakers on a 1-1 basis. I have seen extremely promising progress with all of my students. I have worked with students aged 7 to 70 and can adapt classes to suit a variety of needs.

I have tutored students at a range of levels, from complete beginners who do not even know the English alphabet through to advanced students who want to improve style and pronunciation.

I have worked with students who are native speakers of Chinese, Czech, Dutch, French, Portuguese, Punjabi, Romanian, Russian and Spanish.

Tutoring Approach

I believe that it is essential that students engage with the subject and are motivated by interesting materials that are adapted to their own learning styles. I use relevant real-world materials from a variety of sources.

I have a positive attitude and am keen to make classes fun and interesting. I understand that students may be used to different types of teaching styles and can adapt my approach accordingly.
