Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching for nearly six years now and I have worked in a range of different roles. I am qualified in Religious Education and I am currently covering the Head of Religious Education at Prendergast Ladywell School. I have taught project management, PSHCEE and cover lessons in a range of subjects. The majority of my experience is in mainstream secondary settings. I have also tutored primary age pupils in English and Maths throughout my degree. Professional highlights: 3 years of experience as a Department Coordinator, spearheading the Extended Project Qualification and overseeing curriculum design, student mentorship, and assessment for a cohort of 60+ students. Department leader and liaison with multiple internal and external agencies to ensure student success and well-being. 2 years of successful tenure as Head of Achievement for Year 12, providing guidance and support to over 140 students, ensuring their academic progress, personal development and safeguarding.

Tutoring Approach

I am a patient, empathetic and warm teacher. I am very supportive for students with SEND and can mentor students that are insecure in their abilities. I would tailor my approach to the individual students.
