I enjoy teaching and seeing students achieve their potential and currently teach in Wales so am familiar with the Welsh curriculum to GCSE and A level.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught for many years both in primary and high schools. I currently teach in a large 11-18 school teaching maths to all ability levels. I specialise in pure maths and statistics at A level.

Tutoring Approach

Students need to be confident in this subject area to succeed, so I believe in finding out where students are in their first or pre-lesson meet. Clear explanations and giving students supervised practise time ensure success and i have found that once students are confident, they can learn. Opportunity to question and deal with misconceptions ensure students fully understand. Students should be willing to practise between tutoring sessions in order to consolidate learning .
I find it helpful to meet students for a pre lesson session, for which there is no charge.
