Hi, I'm a very experienced, fully qualified classroom teacher and have taught at all levels throughout primary. I love to help children reach their 'light bulb moment', when what we have been working towards all comes together.
I have been teaching for 25 years, after returning to University to achieve my PGCE. I have taught children with a wide range of abilities.
I like to start by getting to know the child, their interests, their strengths and where they would like to take their learning. I like to make learning fun by playing games, doing practical activities to keep it interesting, but also sometimes lots of repetition for confidence. With my experience I can come up with different ways of tackling a topic, if the first way doesn't lead to understanding. Building on their existing skills and continuing to be flexible and patient can lead to great outcomes.
