Online English and Entrance Exams Lessons

I have been working as a tutor for a decade now and have a passion for education and literature. This year, I graduated with distinction from a Comparative Literature MA at the University of Bristol.
In my spare time, Removed reading, writing, practising French, walking my dog and volunteering for a mental health charity.

Tutoring Experience

For the past ten years, I have worked as a tutor for students aged 4-18.
My students achieve consistently high grades at GCSE and A Level and see marked improvement through weekly sessions.
I have a lot of experience teaching students with varying disabilities, including dyslexia, ADHD and autism.

I teach the English and maths curriculum to primary school children. These lessons often prepare students for entrance exams to independent and grammar school, though I also work on raising attainment.

Tutoring Approach

I believe every student is an individual who needs and deserves a one-to-one approach tailored to support their educational needs. An empathetic teaching approach is required to understand each student’s strengths and weaknesses. These strengths should be built up to raise confidence, while working repeatedly at weaker areas to develop the student’s skills and understanding.
I allow lesson plans to develop according to the student’s learning style and development. I set weekly homework to allow the student to practise their learning independently and will set weekly targets to strengthen their skills.
