Online Maths and Chemistry Teacher

Hi My name is Hana! I am currently in my 3rd year of university studying Medicine (MBBS) at Imperial College London. I am an enthusiastic, friendly and patient tutor. I am very keen to help students achieve high grades in their exams by helping them understand topics they are struggling with as well as teaching them the best ways to tackle exam-style questions. I will always be open to tailoring my lessons to focus on areas of difficulty and tackle them in the way we both believe will help you progress the most :)

Tutoring Experience

At school I was a tutor for Maths, Biology and Chemistry. I would have weekly drop in sessions for each subject where I would assist students struggling with these topics. I would go through any concepts that the majority of the students found difficult and would give time afterwards for students to ask any questions that they had. The students also had my phone number to which they could send me any questions that they had at any time. When I completed my A-levels, I spent time at my college making resources to help students who were applying to medicine prepare for their medical school admissions examinations (UCAT and BMAT).

I am also able to assist students applying to medicine with their application. This would involve reviewing their personal statement, helping them prepare for the UCAT/BMAT examinations as well as their medicine interviews.

Tutoring Approach

I think learning is specific to every individual therefore believe it is important to get to know the person first and see what works best for them. I think the most important approach, especially for students doing GCSE's or A-Levels, is to get students to apply their knowledge to as many past paper questions as possible. This would help them consolidate their learning and be familiar with the types of questions they can expect in their exams.
