I am studying Computer Science at the University of Westminster, and I'm enjoying my course so much. I'm learning new things I thought I'd never be able to do, and its amazing. I've met a lot of cool people too.
Outside of uni, I like to read, write, game and delve into sci-fi and fantasy like things!
I have done two months of Tutoring with Tutors United, and my time with them included pre-prepared lessons in English KS2, which included reading and writing tasks to enable students to complete tasks as they would in school.
As I have not been able to have a personal approach to my previous tutoring role, my personal approach would be to present a concept that I will teach to my student in a way they can understand, see how much information they absorbed, and then present them with tasks, quizzes and things to test their knowledge and really get them going.
I think its important for a student to understand something first, or perhaps not understand it fully but get a general overview of a concept and then delve into tasks so they feel more comfortable around the subject.
