I am a Head of Physics at a Comprehensive School in the North West of England. I also work as a mentor for trainee teachers and as an examiner for GCSE Physics.
Physics doesn’t have to be overwhelming. With the right guidance and support, any student can improve—and I’m here to help make that happen.
With over 30 years of experience teaching physics, I bring a deep understanding of the subject and how to teach it effectively. As Head of Physics at my school and a mentor to other teachers, I’ve developed a clear, structured approach that helps students grasp complex concepts and build the skills they need to succeed, both in class and in exams.
I also work as an examiner, so I know exactly what examiners are looking for. I use this insight to help students maximise their marks, develop strong exam technique, and avoid common pitfalls.
To make the most of our time together, I ask that students let me know in advance what they’d like to focus on in each session. This allows me to prepare tailored materials and explanations that directly meet their needs. Whether it’s mastering a tricky topic, tackling past paper questions, or sharpening exam technique, I aim to build confidence and clarity every step of the way.
