I am 32 years old, I am from Chorley in the North West of England, I live with my husband, daughter & our Mini Dachshund. I would describe myself as a very approachable & sociable person, I am hardworking and pride myself on my integrity.

Tutoring Experience

I started my teacher training in September 2010; prior to that, I volunteered for a year in a preschool setting in Bolton - an experience that would ignite my passion for education. During my teacher training, I taught in 3 primary schools, across Y3, Y5 & Y6 and 2 secondary schools across all year groups. I graduated with a First Class Honours degree in 2013, and have been an outstanding practitioner in Religious Educational in my current school for 10 years. I also lead behaviour for learning at KS4.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is largely centred around the principle of Rosenshine, I understand the importance of giving learners sufficient time to practise retrieval, ask questions, and get the help or clarification they need. I place emphasis on summarising, analyzing & applying knowledge until secure.
