Maths is my passion and I love sharing it with my students. I really pride myself on breaking up complex concepts into easy to manage chunks/strategies and feedback from my students has always been that I make maths easier to understand.

I am a friendly and approachable person who puts time and energy into fully understanding the needs of the student. I can relate to student struggles and I put effort into building confidence with my knowledge but also my supportive and friendly approach to learning.

Tutoring Experience

I have 11 years experience teaching maths in secondary schools and have taught from year 7 through to GCSE and A level. I achieved the best marks in the year during 2021.

I have extensive experience working with both special needs right through to the most gifted students and I believe that all students can and should make progress no matter what their ability. No student should ever be left behind.

I also have many years experience preparing students for the 11+ examinations for selective schools.

Tutoring Approach

I am patient and supportive of students and I take the time to get to know their learning needs and style. I structure lessons in a fun and engaging way so that all students enjoy making progress. I focus on breaking down maths anxiety, fear of making mistakes and look to build confidence.
