Georgia

Hi there! My name is Georgia and I'm a friendly university student who has a passion for teaching and helping young people achieve their next steps in life. I'm currently in my second year of university studying biomedical science and excited to meet some new students and help them along their journey. I have experience in maths tutoring and working with students, as well as tailored lesson planning.

Tutoring Experience

I have been a GCSE and KS3 maths tutor for the schools programme on MyTutor since April 2023. This includes 1 on 1 virtual lessons with students at regular time slots each week. I would like to start private tutoring with first tutors. I also have a part-time job working with 1st year undergraduates studying biological sciences at Royal Holloway University as a PASS leader in which I plan and run group study sessions. I achieved a grade B in maths A level and a 9 at GCSE.

Tutoring Approach

Tailored lesson planning for individual students is very important to me for keeping lessons engaging and interactive as well as building in depth knowledge of a subject using the best methods for each student. I like to use lots of practice questions and exam style questions as well as graphs and images to better understanding.
