Geoffrey

I have extensive experience in teaching several subjects including history and maths. I was a commercial solicitor for 20 years before turning to a career in teaching. I completed a PhD in History at Oxford (Balliol College). I am also an Examiner for A-Level History for AQA, OCR and Cambridge International exam boards. I also examine A-level business for AQA.

Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring children of all ages since 2002 first in Canada and the last decade in London. My students proceed to top UK universities including Oxford, Cambridge, Durham, LSE, UCL, Bristol, HEC Paris (MBA), UPenn, University of Toronto, McGill, and Berkeley (California).

Tutoring Approach

I have a passion for each teaching assignment as I want to make a difference for my students. I pride myself for having a very friendly approach one that encourages the learning process. I have often seen that a student's success is based on confidence. Finding the right route leads to great success academically. As such, my job is to find for each student the right method to help her get on that track to achievement. After all, we are all different learners and I adapt to each student's requirements.
