I'm an ex primary school teacher of 12 years. I graduated with a first class honors degree from Newman University with a specialism in English. I have experience teaching pupils from Nursery to year 6 and have prepared pupils for Year 2 and Year 6 SATs tests.I have taught in a range of good and outstanding inner city schools in Birmingham and I have also taught in Primary schools in the UAE.

Tutoring Approach

I have a very positive teaching style and I like to consistently reward pupils for their efforts. I always start by finding out what my pupils already know and build from that. I encourage pupils to ask questions and to self-assess in order to set targets for their own progress. I constantly assess as I teach which informs how I plan and teach the next lesson. I always set achievable but high expectations for my pupils and always encourage them to believe in themselves at all times.
