Hi, My name is Gemma Removed and I am a 30 year old teacher. I have been teaching for almost 4 years and my family has been involved in education for over 25 years.
I am fully DBS checked and can tutor from home, online or travel to you, whichever you prefer!

Tutoring Experience

I have been working with children since I was 16 years old and spent two years in a Pre School. Learning the fundamental development of children's learning really started my journey to becoming a teacher. I became a qualified teacher in 2021 and have been teaching full time since working in Primary.
I have fantastic knowledge of phonics and I am a strong teacher of Read Write Inc phonics scheme so I am very happy to tutor any child of any age that may need help with their reading or phonetic knowledge.

Tutoring Approach

I believe in catering the teaching to the child. This is teaching built on trust and mutual respect. I have always approached teaching in a practical way as I believe children learn and remember by doing. I have a very creative brain and like to deliver my learning in the way that suits that learner best.

Nothing makes me happier than seeing children's faces when they suddenly realize they can do something that they were worried about or initially found difficult. Instilling confidence and pride into children is my priority.
