I graduated from Glasgow University in 2014 with a 2:1 MA Honours degree in French and Spanish. I then left with a Postgraduate degree in Teaching in 2015, and have been a teacher of Modern Languages since.
I am very enthusiastic, and I am committed to helping every young person I teach or tutor to reach their potential.
I love to travel and enjoy reading, music and drawing in my free time.
I have been a fully qualified teacher of French for 8 years. In this time, I have taught S1-S6 pupils and have a thorough knowledge of the National 4, National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher courses.
I have experience in teaching Spanish at BGE level, Nat 5, Higher and also Advanced Higher.
My degree involved living abroad; I spent one year in Saint-Omer in the Pas-de-Calais region of Northern France, where I worked as an English Language Assistant with the British Council. I then studied at the Universidad de Oviedo in Northern Spain for a semester, studying Spanish Literature, Linguistics and French-Spanish and Spanish-French translation.
I have taught at the same school throughout my career and have a fantastic rapport with our pupils.
I have been tutoring for even longer than I have been teaching and find it extremely rewarding. Since I was at University, I have tutored a wide range of pupils in both French and Spanish, building good working relationships and consistently contributing towards positive results.
I am a very determined teacher who is highly organised and always strives for the best.
I always tailor my tutoring to your childs' specific areas for development. I will always ask your child for ideas as to what they would like to cover and how they like to learn best, and I will adapt my teaching to suit them. All sessions should be relaxed but purposeful, and most of all enjoyable, as I aim to foster a love for language learning.
I am currently available to tutor online only. I have previous experience in tutoring online (using WebEx) and this has been very successful. I will send all resources I create through email to parent or learner.
