I am a fully qualified primary school teacher with over 18 years’ experience. I have worked with a range of children from age 4 through to 12 and have also supported children with special educational needs. I specialise in teaching young children to read, write and spell through the use of phonics and have been responsible for delivering reading training to hundreds of teachers in Scotland.

Tutoring Experience

• 18 years experience as a Primary teacher teaching all ages and abilities

Tutoring Approach

I always aim to make my sessions as interactive as possible and use various teaching approaches to suit the individual child. I believe it is vital to make lessons fun to help children learn and use songs, stories and games in my lessons. I use lots of praise and positive reinforcement to encourage and motivate and will tailor each session to meet the demands of your child.
