Fresh from my RAM graduate degree, I am excited to begin offering Cello, General Music, and Theory lessons in the New Year. I'm emboldened to teach, share, and explore following my most recent project in cross-arts collaboration, which focused on the intersection of music, visual art, and dance.
What has enriched my teaching experience is the variety of settings-from the classroom to the art gallery-within which I've been privileged to share both my passion for music and enthusiasm for an exchange of ideas.
In the classroom, I worked as an intern in the US public primary and secondary schools, tutoring in private and small group settings (including orchestras and choirs), often in partnership with veteran teachers.
In pursuit of community cultivation of the arts, I've organised and participated in innovative outreach and interactive youth educational programmes, in collaboration with a diverse group of musicians and entrepreneurs.
I believe that the study of music in particular builds the awareness that is critical to all learning. More than an end in and of itself, music is a means to creating the connections that enrich our lives. My thorough understanding of musical concepts and conscientious preparation for lessons enable animate and spontaneous interaction with students of any age and background.
