I am a 22 year old graduate from Cambridge University, with two degrees in English. I am a friendly and supportive person with a passion for reading and educating! My friends and previous tutees know me for my explanatory skills, and I am able to make academic material easily understandable. I offer tutoring for English language and literature at GCSE and A-Level, History at GCSE and A-Level, and Biology at GCSE level.

Tutoring Experience

I have informal tutoring experience teaching degree-level English Literature to undergraduates at Cambridge University. I have coached sixth-form students on Oxbridge applications and English A-Level, including helping coursework reach full marks. I have also led lessons in History to Key Stage 3 Students at Anglo European School.

Tutoring Approach

I have established lessons plans structured around exam practice, but my teaching style is flexible and I can adapt my lessons according to age, ability, and differing exam boards. I have particular experience with AQA English, OCR History, and OCR Biology, though I am comfortable tutoring for all exam boards. My lessons usually focus on exam technique, highlighting assessment objectives and examiners’ reports: I can also provide feedback and help with coursework assessments. I offer homework tasks to strengthen and consolidate the skills and knowledge we cover in lessons. I strive to make my lessons engaging as well as studious, with a patient and caring approach to tutoring. It is my aim to help students of all abilities meet their education goals!
