Online Maths and Computer Studies / I.T. Tuition

A PhD candidate in Number Theory with 6 years of experience tutoring in A-levels and university courses in elliptic curves, calculus, etc. I like to provide ample motivation for the techniques and ideas through grounded real-world examples. With a MASt from Cambridge, MSc from Warwick and BSc from King’s College London, I offer a personalised approach to learning.

My aim it to help you climb any hill, be it getting those last 10% of marks or getting to grips with a new difficult subject. Even experienced mathematicians continue learning. I like to meet in-person, but I am also open to meeting online.

Feel free to contact me to get on top of your grades, mathematical projects, or university applications and exams!

Tutoring Experience

In the past, I have tutored at:
-King’s Factor (Evening preparatory classes for A-Levels and GCSE)
-King’s College Maths School (Specialist sixth form college)
-King’s College University (Taught tutorials in complex analysis, differential equations, calculus, group theory)
-University of Nottingham (Teaching assistant in algebraic number theory, elliptic curves)

I have since taken on students on a private basis and helped them with reaching their goals. Some examples of successful tutoring projects:
- A-level students receiving A* in Further mathematics and enrolling at universities of choice like Cambridge, UCL and the LSE.
- An undergraduate who retook year 1, received first honours after excelling in year 2 and 3.
- A programmer who successfully implemented his own elliptic curve based encryption.

Tutoring Approach

I think a tutor’s chief task is to enable a student to really focus on the learning aspect by finding out what needs to be learned and how the student might best learn it.

On a first order basis, this means I will help with definitions, approaches, ideas, examples, maths problems and techniques. While nobody can learn the material for you, I will identify areas of improvement and suggest unique math problems to target them. Such problems will always be designed to make the student realise an approach on their own, and this is in my experience both exciting and motivational.
