Maths and Geography Tuition in Edinburgh

As a dedicated and ambitious student, I’ve experienced first-hand the challenges and pressures of both GCSEs and A-Levels. I understand how demanding the journey can be—and how valuable the right support is along the way.

I’ve always had a genuine passion for learning, and I bring that enthusiasm into every tutoring session. My approach is grounded in creating a relaxed, engaging environment that builds confidence, encourages curiosity, and helps students feel empowered to reach their full potential.

Too often, traditional education systems overlook the importance of making learning enjoyable and tailored to the individual. That’s why I focus on delivering sessions that are not only effective but also motivating and personal.

I always strive for excellence in my own studies, and through tutoring, I aim to inspire the same high standards and self-belief in my students.

Tutoring Experience

I have extensive experience tutoring students across a range of levels—including A-Levels, GCSEs, National 5s, and Highers—both online and in school settings.

While at secondary school, I co-founded and helped run a peer tutoring programme designed to support students across year groups. This involved everything from exam preparation to homework support and revision strategies, tailored to individual learning needs. The initiative not only helped students boost their academic performance but also created a positive, collaborative learning culture within the school.

Since then, I’ve worked with two online tutoring companies, guiding students towards success in their GCSE, A-Level, and National 5 exams. My lessons are built on empathy and insight—having recently navigated these exams myself, I understand the challenges and pressures students face and know how to break down complex material in a clear, relatable way.

This hands-on experience, combined with my own academic journey, puts me in a strong position to offer meaningful, results-driven support.

Tutoring Approach

My tutoring approach is centred on encouragement, support, and tailored progression. I work with students of all abilities to help them reach their individual academic goals—whether that means mastering the fundamentals or pushing for top grades.

Lessons are delivered online and are fully adaptable to suit each student’s needs. I combine content-led teaching with question-based learning to strike the right balance between understanding and application. Whether a student prefers a structured walkthrough or a more interactive, problem-solving approach, I adjust my methods accordingly.

Session lengths are flexible, ranging from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the student’s goals, focus, and schedule. I’ve previously led a peer tutoring programme at my school, giving me valuable insight into both sides of the tutoring dynamic—what works, what motivates, and what builds real progress.
