I am a French national, but I have been living and working in Wales (mainly in the Swansea area) for over twenty-five years. To me, language-learning should be a pleasure, not a chore. I try to make it enthusiastic and fun for my students.
My personal interests are sports (martial arts particularly) and playing the saxophone.
Availability - I work in Swansea, but I live in Carmarthenshire. I am available to teach face-to-face in Swansea (except Thursdays) after 4:00 pm. I can also teach face-to-face at weekends in Carmarthenshire, or online at weekends or on Thursdays all day.
I have over twenty-five years' experience teaching French in secondary schools and coaching students privately at GCSE and A Level.
From the results my students have obtained over the years, I believe that what I do works!
I endeavour to make my lessons fun and interesting.
I can help students considerably with their speaking skills (pronunciation, speech delivery, etc.) and exam techniques.
Grammar is one of my passions, so knowing grammar will improve your comprehension, and written French. Understanding how the language works is essential to make progress. I work a lot by examples and repetition (of exercises). I have created online 'grammar quizzes' to monitor understanding, and vocabulary-learning on platforms such as Quizlet or Kahoot.
However, commitment has to work both ways for progress to be made.
