Francesco

Hi, I’m Francesco and I’m a Physics graduate from Imperial College London, passionate about sharing my love for Physics and Maths. I graduated with a First Class degree and have been tutoring Maths and Physics, as well as teaching Italian at an international language school since 2022.
I’m fluent in both Italian and English, having been born and raised in Italy with an English father and Italian mother.

My goal is not only to teach young students these subjects but also to teach them how to love these subjects!

Tutoring Experience

Since 2022, I have been teaching English to non-native speakers at Interlingua Formazione, where I have developed strong communication skills and a student-centred teaching approach. During my time there, I also completed a teaching course focused on effective lesson planning, with particular emphasis on interactive learning and student engagement.

In addition to this, I have been privately tutoring students in Maths and Physics since the age of 16. These early experiences taught me the value of patience, empathy, and adaptability in creating an inclusive learning environment, as well as the importance of breaking down complex topics into clear, accessible concepts.

Over the past two years, I have taken on tutoring in a more professional capacity, supporting students struggling during the year or through their final-year exams, helping them reach their goals, whether it's excelling in assessments or gaining admission to their first-choice universities.

Tutoring Approach

I tailor my approach to suit each student's needs.
At times, I engage in interactive teaching, breaking down concepts analytically or relating them to real-world scenarios.
Other times, collaborative problem-solving sessions using my interactive tablet or Zoom’s built-in whiteboard tool.

I like to emphasise the practical relevance of what's being learned, showcasing its applications to incite curiosity.

I also offer exam-focused lessons in which we solve past papers/exercises together while filling any knowledge gaps and practising exam strategy.
