I am a caring and passionate person and teacher that takes pride in doing everything to the best of my ability. I have a wide range of experiences having worked in different industries and countries and I bring that with me in the lessons as I engage with the students to not only teach my subject but also inspire young people to find their intrinsic motivation as they are studying.

I'm able come to you if you are along the A45 corridor from Northampton to Raunds or online.

Tutoring Experience

I have been a secondary teacher for 18 years teaching in a secondary school in Northamptonshire. I have also worked as a moderator for an examination board.
I also have a lot of coaching experiences for 25+ years helping understand how to bring the best out of a young person.

Tutoring Approach

I approach each student as a unique individual and therefore personalise my teaching approach and resources to meet the demands of each student.
It's important to quickly identify the strengths and areas for improvement for the individual student and then create an individual plan to address their needs. This is regularly communicated with the student and the parents /carers and adapted as needed.
Alongside developing specific skills, I strive to develop the learner's confidence and develop appropriate exam techniques.
I use positive reinforcement and scaffolding to build upon the existing skill set before gradually raising the level of difficulty for the learner.
