I am a graduate of King's College Cambridge, where I studied Music and was a choral scholar in the world-famous King's College Choir, The Royal College of Music, where I was a postgraduate scholar, and The National Opera Studio. I am a professional Opera Singer (countertenor) and have sung with all the major UK opera houses, and abroad - in Europe and Asia.
I have a particular interest in music and opera of all periods Outside of music, I enjoy climbing, and cycling and in 2013 completed a charity ride for Cystic Fibrosis, cycling 1,200 miles from Cambridge to Oslo.

Tutoring Experience

I have over 10 years of experience tutoring Music of all levels from beginner to degree, Music Theory up to Grade 8, Maths and Latin to GCSE, 11+ Entrance exams, and Oxbridge admissions.

I specialise in preparation for the written, listening, and composition elements of both the A-Level and Music GCSE papers, for exam boards including Edexcel, AQA, OCR, Eduqas, iGCSE, and preparation for practical exams ABRSM up to grade 8 in theory and aural/sightreading.

During the pandemic, I moved some of my students to online tuition (Zoom), gaining hundreds of hours of online experience in addition to my normal in person work.

I am passionate about teaching to the highest standard, and providing an optimum supplementary education for each individual student.
