My current role is Assistant Principal overseeing English, Media and MFL at a comprehensive London school. My previous roles have been Head of English with a B.A Honours in English Literature and QTS from UCL. I have experience of teaching both English Language and Literature over the last five years. I am enthusiastic, passionate in my approach and will work hard with my students to get them the best possible results and into their desired university or college.

Tutoring Experience

I have worked with students at KS3, KS4 and A level. I have prepared students for different exam bodies such as AQA, OCR, Eduqas (WJEC) and Edexcel. I have also privately tutored students at KS2 who attend grammar and private schools.

Tutoring Approach

My teaching approach is adapted based on students needs, my resources and lessons are planned and informed by proven research within the field of education. My approach to teaching English literature and language is knowledge driven whilst also equipping students with the skills to write in an academic and creative style to help them flourish in the subject. With every lesson the student and parents will receive lesson resources which includes the necessary information for the session. I have flexibility around online tutoring.
