I am a native German speaker and have been a German tutor for over 14 years, as well as having been a German Language Assistant at Bristol based schools for over 9 years.
I am very passionate about language and about developing language skills in young people.
Speaking another language increases confidence in the learners and it supports understanding and tolerance of other cultures – something I feel very strongly about, so much so that my daughter is growing up bilingually.
As a foreign national in the UK myself, I am also aware of how important it is to learn the English language and to use it efficiently in day-to-day life. This skill is not only important to manage life in the UK, but it is also vital for the future of the learners as it can open so many doors worldwide.
I am a very reliable person, hard-working, and have two eyes for detail. I relate well to people of all age groups, am very sociable and would very much enjoy sharing some of my love for language with you.
My sessions are interactive, completely tailor-made to your specific needs, and I use a mixture of media for interesting learning.
And, although I am German and contrary to popular belief, my sessions are fun ;-)
I am a language assistant for GCSE and A-level students in a private school in Bristol, and I also privately tutor students at both levels as well as adults at levels A1 to C2.
I have achieved my CELTA A-Pass in 2018 and have been teaching English as a foreign language at Bath College since January 2019, as well as tutoring privately.
My approach to tutoring depends a lot on the individual or group who wants to be tutored!
I completely tailor make each session, and use a mix of media for interesting learning. My sessions are always interactive and fun.
