I am currently studying a MSc in Neuroscience at Kings College London, whilst working as a teaching assistant at a local secondary school.
I have achieved a BSc Honours degree in Pharmacology and Physiology in 2022.
I have 6 years of tutoring experience. I have tutored and taught students across all ages ranging from primary to A level in various institutions, such as a tutoring centre, at local schools and independently. This included both one-to-one tuitions and tutoring in a group.
Tutoring across so many different institutions has allowed me to develop the essential skills needed to teach. It has also enabled me to learn a vast range of techniques in lesson planning.
Since I have tutored students of different ability levels, my teaching style is adaptive to the student's learning style. Commonly, I have prepared lessons around topics that students usually find difficult, however I make sure to cover all content in preparation for any exams they may have.
I believe practice questions around the content as well as exam-style questions are crucial in developing the student's learning further and for preparing them for their exams.
Additionally, I always make sure that my lessons are as engaging as possible by asking questions to students, preparing quizzes and asking them to revise back the information that I have taught them during the lesson.
