I am a qualified English teacher and I have just completed my NQT year. I am passionate about English and bringing the subject to life regardless of a student's age or abilty. My Drama degree enables me to explore plays, poetry and novels in an engaging manner - analysis work will never seem dull again! I enjoy teaching children of any age or ability and I would hope to build a positive relationship with them.
Tutoring Experience
I have taught students from Year 7 to 12, as well as providing private tution for Year 6 students in preparation for their SATS.
Tutoring Approach
I believe the best way to ensure a student is learning, in every lesson, is to use regular testing through quizzing. Knowledge recall is one of the most important approaches to assess whether a student is making progress and to assess what I need to re-teach to help them succeed.
