I am a Head of English and an Associate Assistant Headteacher of a secondary school. I am a Senior examiner and an Assistant Principal Examiner for an Exam board. I am passionate about Education and helping pupils reach their full potential whether they need that extra push or want to excel.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught for 7 years in a range of different schools and from primary level up to A level and a range of different ability levels. My results are excellent and I pride myself on the ability of myself and my staff to facilitate pupils on their journey to success. My work with various Exam Boards over many years, at a senior level, has enabled me to understand fully the success criteria for GCSE and A level exams.

Tutoring Approach

I believe the best way to tutor is to listen to what tutees and parents want from the sessions. The sessions can be the extension of skills and academically rigorous or we may decide to develop and hone particular skills that have been a challenge the first time around in school. I will set work over the week for you to be getting on with which we may decide to look at in the session. Equally, we can work on mock exams and develop skills for particular questions which are proving difficult.
