Hi, I'm Emma and I have been teaching English as a foreign language for nearly ten years, both here in the UK and abroad. I have lived in Vietnam, Thailand and Spain and have taught learners of many different nationalities, ages and levels. My specialism is Cambridge exams and I currently teach IELTS exam skills at a private language school in Norwich.

Tutoring Experience

I have a lot of experience teaching general English to all levels, from beginners (A1) to advanced (C1). I am also knowledgeable about all of the Cambridge exams from KET to IELTS, and 100% of my students have passed the exam they entered.

Tutoring Approach

I believe that English is best learned through communication, and so my main focus is on communicative skills and activities to build confidence and fluency. In my exam classes, learners can develop strategies and tips on how to best tackle the tasks and how to gain the best mark possible.
