I am currently in my fifth year of teaching MFL at a school in London. I completed my PGCE in Modern Foreign Languages at the Institute of Education. I am also a University of Nottingham graduate with a 2:1 in Law and Spanish and Spanish Law. I have spent a year living and studying in Valencia in Spain where I had the opportunity to perfect my language skills and experience the Spanish culture. I have also spent 4 months travelling in South America where I had the opportunity to further enhance my spoken Spanish and understanding of Latin culture. I am currently teaching Spanish up to A Level and French up to GCSE.
I have had the opportunity to teach students of all abilities from KS3 up to A-level, which has deepened my understanding of the curriculum and different exams. I have prepared students for all parts of the language GCSE this year. Prior to becoming a teacher, I tutored GCSE, AS and A-level Spanish, helping my tutees get the high results they wanted. During my year abroad in Spain I taught English to two Spanish girls on a weekly basis. I have also worked as an au pair in Madrid where I helped to improve the English of two children.
I offered a tailored approach to tutoring depending on the needs and learning style of each pupil, helping them to improve their language skills or prepare for an exam. I have a solid understanding of the Spanish course in secondary schools including both the GCSE and A- level courses. I can assist with any general learning of the language and with the GCSE and A-level courses and exams or equivalent.
