I’m a current part-time Master’s student attending London School of Economics. My degree is in Human Rights but I have a broad knowledge base across the social sciences. I achieved a first-class honours in History from UCL as well as a 78 on my dissertation. I’m hoping to pursue a phD upon graduating from my master’s and would love to share my enthusiasm and curiosity around the social sciences with students who may feel deterred or unenthusiastic towards them.
I tutored in school while completing my A-levels and this was on a weekly basis with students ranging from years 7-11. I did all subjects at this point as I achieved excellent grades at GCSE across the board, but felt most comfortable in the Humanities.
I’m a very patient tutor and do my best to intuit what the student isn’t quite understanding in order to focus on that specific area. I think creating a relaxing environment is crucial, particularly for students who feel embarrassed around not understanding something.
